About Jesse S. Jones Photography

Jesse S. Jones is a Gainesville based photojournalist currently employed by the University of Florida's Health Science Center News and Communications Department as Chief Photographer and Photo Editor.

A graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Photography, Jesse is competent in many photographic techniques both film and digitally based. Experienced in all standard film formats from 35mm through large format 4x5, alternative processes such as cyanotypes, gum-oil printing, Polaroid lifts and transfers, liquid emulsion and pinhole photography. Along with experience in analog based photographic techniques Jesse is competent using digital camera systems by both Nikon and Canon as well as being well versed using digital photo editing, video editing and work flow software including Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, Photo Mechanic, Soundslides, Final Cut Studio, Canon DPP and Nikon Capture. In addition Jesse is familiar with studio lighting equipment including Dynalite, Alien Bees, Calumet, Novatron, Photogenic, Speedotron and Pocket Wizards.
